BENVENUTI

Il Gruppo Folklorico cura nell'ambito dell'Associazione Kerkent (antico nome della città di Agrigento ) , la diffusione delle tradizioni popolari siciliane. Nato nel 1989 come gruppo musicale e dal 1990 anche come gruppo di danza e coreografia , ha portato in giro per il mondo il folklore della Sicilia . La formazione composta da giovani studenti e lavoratori con costumi e strumenti tradizionali tipici , esegue un ricco repertorio di danze, canti , coreografie e musiche appartenenti alla migliore tradizione folklorica siciliana.

 

WELCOME

The Kerkent" folkloric group was founded in 1988 thanks to some young musical and theatre amateurs. In 1990 the group initiated a collaboration with the kerkent Cultural Association (Kerkent in the ancient name of the city of Agrigento in Sicily ) until it became an integrated part. After long study and research , the group has put together a performance , with typical costumes and instruments , composed of songs, dances and music reflecting the region's best folkloric tradition , which recalls the popular Sicilian life of the past. The group , in made out of young students and workers who have portrayed the sicilian folklore in the world by taking part at many folk events.
